The Burg is absolutely beautiful, there are many nice buildings, a lot of lawns where you can test, flowers to enjoy. It is a quite place - there were 3 weddings during our stay, but we were not disturbed by them.. BUT: The staff barely speaks English. So it is very difficult to communicate and solve problems that occur. If you want to eat you have to arrange the plates and cuttlery by yourself - we waited more then 15 minutes at the table and noone came to take care of us and the other guests. The staff althoug is nice (especually the waitress) once you catch 😉 them. The "white house" in which we stayed smellals of cat (?) urin. The curtains are usless - the sun will wake you up at 5 am. The carpet is stained The room need some renovation. We stayed 2 nights - noone showed to clean the room. No air conditioning (in the white house) The check out is at 10 am. The reception closes at 15 pm. Conclusion: it has a huge potential. It would be a real gem if someone took greater care and hired more people. I saw the stuff struggle to manage all the guests (especially during the weddings)

Unfortunately we had a room outside of the Burg. It was new and clean, but we expected to be in the Burg. The food was good.

In this place, you have a feeling of being in an old fortress. Surely, beautifully renovated, respectful for history. Large and comfortable rooms. Unfortunately desk and chair not comfortable when working. With excellent kitchen, no problem that mini bar does not exists.

It's truly a 5-stars experience! Classy hotel in a historic castle with excellent services! Ample and well-adorned rooms. The Philip-August restaurant serves a classic /contemporary European cuisine.
